Code of Ethics Training for Existing Member-Cycle 5

Reserve your spot today for GPAR’s FREE Code of Ethics Training for REALTOR® members with instructor Janis Benstock. 

The training will start at 9:30 AM in the GPAR Classroom located at 1341 N. Delaware Avenue, Suite 200. The ethics training tests REALTORS® on NAR Code of Ethics concepts, identifying code violations, and enforcement of professional standards. Note: No continuing education credits are given for attendance.

All REALTORS® must complete 2.5 hours of Code of Ethics training by December 31, 2018, as a requirement of membership to the National Association of REALTORS®. GPAR will be providing FREE training to membership and members can register here.

*If you have completed New Member Orientation after January 1, 2017, your code of ethics training requirement has been fulfilled for Cycle 5. In addition, any existing member who has completed Code of Ethics training through their continuing education (on a date on or after January 1, 2017) is required to send their certificate of completion to the Association. Members may also complete free training at nar.realtor.

In order to complete the application process, ALL applicants are required to complete the New Member Orientation and New Member Code of Ethics training in the GPAR Classroom in accordance with the Bylaws of the National Association of REALTORS.  Failure to complete the required training will result in suspension of your Provisional membership.

​Applicants may register to attend the mandatory training by visiting www.gpar.org, logging into their member account, go to register for events and choose the applicable event date.

Fair Housing Workshop

2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Fair Housing Act. To commemorate this historic act, GPAR and the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations (PCHR) are partnering to present a Fair Housing Workshop. This free workshop will be held at Temple University's Center City Campus, room 308 on April 24, 2018 from 12-3 PM. Lunch will be provided to attendees.

The workshop, which is open to the public, will be a primer on the Fair Housing Act, Philadelphia’s Fair Housing Practice and the do's and don'ts of fair housing. The speakers for the event are: Rue Landau, Executive Director, Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations; Pamela Gwaltney, Deputy Director, Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations; and GPAR's Beverly Chandran, Sales Associate, MCNE, Green, Coldwell Banker Preferred.
