2020 General Election – Just Vote!

Here is some important information from the PA Department of State about voting in Pennsylvania.

Do you plan on voting in person tomorrow? Some regular polling places have changed due to the pandemic,  just click here to find your polling place. If you would like more information on what elections are being held locally and what positions you can vote for, click here.

Do you plan on voting by mail? Drop your ballot off in person no later than November 3rd at your county election office or other drop-off location. You can locate your drop off options at www.votespa.com/returnballot!

If you applied for a mail-in ballot, but would like to vote in person on election day, you must bring your entire balloting materials and outer envelope to your polling location and surrender them to vote on an in person voting system. Locate your polling location here.

IMPORTANT: Have you heard about “naked” ballots?  A “naked” mail ballot is a ballot that is not returned in BOTH of the required envelopes. If you don’t return your ballot in both envelopes, your ballot will not be counted.

So, make absolutely sure that after you fill out your ballot, and you “dress” it completely by:

  • first sealing it in the white inner secrecy envelope that indicates official ballot
  • then placing it in the pre-addressed outer return envelope where the voter must sign.

Also, on the outer return envelope, make sure you fill out the voter’s declaration with all information, date and sign on the outside of the outer return envelope.  If you don’t sign and complete the outer envelope the ballot will not be counted.

If you have already returned your ballot, but have not received confirmation that your ballot has been received, you can call your county to check your status. Over two million ballots have been returned to counties thus far!
